Independent audit demonstrates security leader’s commitment to data security
ANNAPOLIS, MD – October 22, 2024—Xona Systems, a leading provider of secure access solutions for critical systems and operational technology (OT) environments, today announced that it successfully achieved System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 audit and certification, further validating Xona’s robust controls and adherence to industry best practices.

By achieving SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, Xona underwent a rigorous audit by Linford & Company LLP. The audit included an examination of Xona’s internal controls and policies to determine whether the company had measures in place to safeguard customer data. Xona’s compliance reaffirms the company’s ability to maintain the integrity of its systems and protect customer information.
Designed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 is a compliance and auditing standard based on five trust services criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The certification provides an organization’s customers with a greater level of trust by demonstrating its dedication to maintaining data security within its systems and following industry best practices to handle sensitive information safely and securely.
With the completion of SOC 2 Type 1, Xona will continue to strengthen its internal controls and security posture to enable critical operations to happen from anywhere with total confidence and trust. Xona will work towards SOC 2 Type 2 certification to assess security controls over time and test their effectiveness.
